Destruction of mosquitoes

How dangerous are mosquitoes and where are they most often found?

Mosquitoes are blood-sucking insects that use all warm-blooded biological species - humans and animals - as hosts. They number more than 2,000 species, of which the most dangerous are malaria mosquitoes, carriers of malarial fever. As blood-sucking insects, mosquitoes carry more than 50 viral and bacterial infections that they can transmit through their bite, making their eradication extremely important. Decisive for quality protection and long-term destruction of mosquitoes is the treatment of bodies of water located close to the affected area.

Types of bodies of water where mosquitoes live

  • Permanent – inhabited by a small number of species
  • Temporary – a large number of species. These could be river floods, swamps, rice fields, puddles, drainage channels, water containers

In the fight against mosquitoes, we at Spetstekhnologiya Ukraine LLC use specialized drugs to kill mosquitoes in water bodies - the Italian drug Aquatain, which forms a silicone film on the surface of the water and interrupts the life cycle of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes go through 4 stages of development: egg - larva - pupa - adult. The first 3 stages of development take place entirely in an aquatic environment, which makes the fight against them quite specific. The impact on individuals of the fourth stage - imago - is not particularly effective, and to repel it we recommend using special insecticidal lamps or insecticides with a residual effect.

Why should you trust the drugs from Spetstekhnologiya?

In our company, we not only use some of the best professional mosquito repellents, but we also know this blood-sucking insect well, which gives us the opportunity to successfully fight it in any area. For example, we know that only the female sucks blood and lives from 2 to 6 months, during which time she lays from 100 to 300 eggs. We also know at what hours of the day these insects are most active and where they rest during the day. All the features that help us destroy them more easily and protect you efficiently.

Biology of mosquito behavior. Response to temperature and humidity

Mosquitoes prefer microclimates with higher humidity. They are minimally mobile at the optimal temperature. Mosquitoes live in darker areas of the environment. When exposed to light, they become excited and become more mobile. Mosquitoes avoid drafts and strong headwinds.

Target on Mosquito Control Pest

  • Bite Prevention
  • Maintaining mosquito numbers within acceptable limits
  • Minimizing contact between mosquitoes and animals
  • Reduced lifespan of female mosquitoes
  • Complete eradication of mosquitoes or mosquito-related diseases is not possible. Significant reductions in mosquito populations are possible in small isolated areas and in cases of infestations that have occurred in the near future.

Mosquito control methods

  • Personal protective equipment
  • Limiting exposure to open areas
  • Net over bed or head
  • Insecticidal vaporizers and smoke bombs
  • Using repellents on skin
  • Using repellents and insecticides on clothing
  • Environmental management (reservoir treatment, irrigation works)
  • Biological methods: use of predators, parasites, pathogens or genetic control
  • Physical methods: larvicides, traps and traps, Aquatain silicone film
  • Chemical methods: larvicides and insecticides
  • Biological methods: Bacillus thuringiensis, Bacillus sphaericus
  • Insecticides having a residual effect;
  • Insecticides used in the air when mosquitoes fly
  • Insecticides sprayed on surfaces where mosquitoes land

Residual insecticides are used indoors, mainly to control Anopheles mosquitoes, by spraying them on the walls and ceiling of the room. Insecticides in the form of aerosols are used in open areas to control mosquitoes of the Culex, Aedes and Anopheles species, fumigation with a residual effect.

Due to the presence of unhatched mosquito larvae in water bodies, we recommend starting mosquito spraying in early spring, treating as many open areas as possible, especially near sources of standing water. For maximum effect in the fight against mosquitoes, the Spetstekhnologiya Ukraine advises using combined methods, including treatment of reservoirs, spraying green areas with high-quality anti-mosquito preparations and the use of special insecticidal lamps adapted to the area that requires protection.
